Ενημέρωση για τις αυξημένες πτήσεις Ελικοπτέρων στην Αλεξανδρούπολη

Από τις 24 Φεβρουαρίου έως τις 5 Μαρτίου, περίπου 30 στρατιωτικά ελικόπτερα των ΗΠΑ  θα  πετάξουν από την Αλεξανδρούπολη  για το πεδίο ασκήσεων στην Ρουμανία.

Τα  Black Hawks ανήκουν στην 1η Ταξιαρχία Αεροπορίας Μάχης, 1η Διεύθυνση Πεζικού, από το Fort Riley του Κάνσας , τα οποία έφθασαν για ασκήσεις στην Ευρώπη προς υποστήριξη του Atlantic Resolve.

Κατά τη διάρκεια αυτών των ημερομηνιών, οι κάτοικοι της Αλεξανδρούπολης και των γειτονικών  περιοχών ενδέχεται να δουν έναν μεγάλο σχηματισμό ελικοπτέρων.

Οι πτήσεις προγραμματίζονται να πραγματοποιούνται μεταξύ των ωρών  8 π.μ. – 6 μ.μ. και θα τηρούν τις τυπικές διαδικασίες μείωσης του θορύβου.

Σύμφωνα με ενημέρωση της Πρεσβείας θα τηρούνται όλα τα προληπτικά μέτρα για τον  COVID-19 όπως η χρήση μάσκας, η κοινωνική απόσταση κλπ. Η ταξιαρχία θα διεξάγει όλους τους απαραίτητους ελέγχους στη Γερμανία στην περιοχή εκπαίδευσης Grafenwoehr προτού μετακινηθεί σε  τοποθεσίες μαζί με συμμάχους και εταίρους.

Community notification for increased flights near Alexandroupoli

WIESBADEN, Germany – From Feb. 24 to March 5, approximately 30 U.S. Army helicopters are scheduled to depart from Alexandroupoli, Greece, and fly to training areas in Romania.

The Black Hawks belong to the 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, from Fort Riley, Kansas, who are arriving in Europe for a nine-month rotation in support of Atlantic Resolve.

During these dates, residents of Alexandroupoli and neighboring communities may see a large formation of helicopters.

The flights are scheduled to occur between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. They will adhere to standard noise abatement procedures.

We value our relationship with our Greek allies and we take voluntary steps to be good neighbors while maintaining our combat effectiveness.

Prudent COVID-19 precautionary measures like the use of masks, social distancing, and rotational shift work will be taken to ensure the health and protection of participating armed forces and the local population. The brigade will conduct screening, testing and quarantine requirements in Germany at Grafenwoehr training area before moving to forward locations alongside allies and partners.
